HATO HONE ST JOHN’S AMBULANCE CENTRE, GREENMEADOWS
The $3.5million upgrade of the Napier region’s main ambulance centre was designed by Dougan Larkworthy Team Architects. Using structural steel design, the build project utilised some existing structure (floor slab, ambulance bay trusses and office area framing) to save costs and required careful build work to merge the old with the new in a seamless way.
The finished result is a significant facility incorporating the ambulance bay, staff accommodation, training spaces, multiple kitchens and bathrooms and administration hub.
