The building of a new administration area for this growing school has improved the public profile and the provided staff with a series of purpose designed areas to assist with preparation and other teaching tasks. Incorporated to this was the building of a large, covered entrance way on the front of the school hall to allow this to fulfil more public space tasks and be seen as a welcoming facility.
This project included the demolition of the old administration area, relocation of personnel to temporary accommodation and then the build of a new administration block and school entranceway.
Simkin Construction worked with the team at Napier Girls’ High School to build and modernise their music suite to allow for an expanding range of arts teaching within the school curriculum. A highly visible building at the school's entrance, this was seen as a stylish addition to a challenging site.
This project included the build of a new science block and the refurbishment and modernisation of 7 classrooms. The sensitive design and build of this facility has enhanced the built area on a highly visible major intersection and projects the school positively.
The project involved the full demolition of the original St Patrick's school buildings, the placement of temporary classrooms and ancillary buildings and then a full rebuild of a new contemporary school that meets the needs to students and teachers.
