Terry Simkin - Managing Director
Terry has worked in the construction industry for the last 37 years. Experience in the industry gives him expertise in all aspects of construction. His focus is on business development and client retention by maintaining best practise project management.
As Simkin’s representative Terry establishes and maintains effective formal and informal links with major customers and local government agencies. He feels this is key to ensure that the Company is providing the appropriate quality of services to our clients.
Terry is actively involved as a Board Member with Basketball Hawke’s Bay, and enjoys spending his spare time fishing and golfing.
Joshua Borger - Quantity Surveyor - NZ Dip Construction (QS)
Joshua has experience in both the residential and commercial construction sectors since completing his hands on Diploma in 2017. His role involves managing all tender quotations and documentation, controlling costs associated with accepted projects through claims and variations, to final project costs.
He has had previous work experience with local councils in building consent compliance which has given him vital knowledge of the building industry and an overall understanding of the Building Act. Joshua is also an active member of the Simkin Construction Health and Safety committee, and has in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
Joshua is actively involved with local sports organisations, including soccer and tennis. He is also part of NZ Army Reserve (Territorial Force), where he holds the rank of Lance Corporal RNZALR Armourer.
Charlie Drager - Contracts Co-ordinator - L.B.P
Charlie, a trade qualified carpenter, has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, predominantly on both heavy and light commercial and residential construction projects in Hawkes Bay.
Upon completion of his apprenticeship, Charlie worked initially as a tradesman before spending the past 15 years as a self-employed builder. Charlie has been instrumental in training apprentices during his career, an experience he has found rewarding and wishes to continue with for many more years.
Charlie is heavily involved with swimming and is currently president of the Greendale Swim Club. He is also a qualified coach and HBPB swimming referee.
